Alexandria, VA – OnMessage Public Strategies (OMPS) today announced it has been awardedPublic Affairs Campaign of the Year by the American Association of Political Consultants as part of its 2026 Campaign Excellence Awards, recognizing the firm’s work supporting the “Bring Them Home” campaign to secure the return of U.S. and Israeli hostages.
The award honors OMPS’ strategic leadership, communications, and advocacy efforts alongside hostage families and partners who fought tirelessly to keep global attention on those held in captivity and to press for their safe return.
“This recognition belongs first and foremost to the families,” said OMPS Partner Tommy Binion, who led the effort. “There is a reason that today all the hostages, living and deceased, have been returned home. It is the fierce determination and indefatigable optimism of their families, who advocated every day for two years for their release. OnMessage dedicates this award to them.”
In addition to Tommy Binion, Brad Todd and Abbey Roswell were key members of the team behind the campaign.
The “Bring Them Home” campaign mobilized a sustained, multi-front public affairs effort—combining national media, stakeholder engagement, and strategic advocacy—to ensure the issue remained a priority at the highest levels of government and in the public consciousness.
The AAPC Campaign Excellence Awards are among the most prestigious honors in the political and public affairs industry, recognizing outstanding work across campaigns, advocacy, and communications.
